No, we don't take reservations — seating is first-come, first-served. Just come on down and grab any open table.

Yes — for parties of 30 or more we offer private catering packages. See Catering & Private Events or call us to plan your event. Smaller groups don't need a reservation — just come by and seat yourselves anywhere, first-come, first-served. Have questions or need to request a special accommodation? Town of Oyster Bay residents are never charged a cover. For non-residents, there's a $10 cover at events — larger events may be priced differently.

Most nights all ages are welcome — families included. Wednesdays are 21 and over.

Absolutely. The Boat Yard hosts birthdays, wedding receptions, bridal parties, and celebrations right on the beach at Tobay. Parties of 30 or more only; parties over 100 can close the venue early on a Saturday afternoon, and smaller parties get a designated private area. See Catering & Private Events to submit an inquiry.

Yes — a 30-person minimum applies to all catering packages. A 20% gratuity and tax are added to all packages. Visit Catering & Private Events for package details and pricing.

While Tobay Beach itself is only open to Town of Oyster Bay residents, you do not need to be a Town of Oyster Bay resident to visit The Boat Yard. When you arrive at the toll booth, just let them know you're headed to The Boat Yard or Surf Shack, and they'll provide you with a free 2-hour parking pass. After 5PM, the parking lot is completely open and free to the public.
